McLean, VA – As the primary source for geospatial intelligence for the Department of Defense and the U.S. Intelligence Community, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) provides policymakers, warfighters, intelligence professionals and first responders with world-class intelligence time and again. NGA enables the warfighter to plan missions, gain battlefield superiority, precisely target the adversary and protect our military forces. They provide timely warnings to the warfighter and national decision makers by monitoring, analyzing and reporting imminent threats.
The NGA has awarded Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) a $245 million contract on August 6, 2018, to support NGA’s Research Directorate—the Research Contract (RECON) Performer Task Order. RECON aims to enhance geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) capabilities, discipline, and tradecraft through advanced R&D that address the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense’s (DOD) most complex, difficult, and enduring intelligence problems. The Booz Allen team will provide RECON with specialized scientific, technical research and subject matter expertise to improve the NGA’s most important functions.
