To meet the challenge of strategic competition, the Department of Defense is creating a new paradigm for decision making with Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2). Yet achieving the promise of JADC2 requires its employment within a larger, all-encompassing vision to comprehensively prepare for the future of war.
Our vision for the connected future is the digital battlespace.
The digital battlespace is an information-driven, fully integrated conflict space extending across all warfighting domains. The concept offers defense leaders a powerful way to transcend today’s organizational and acquisition boundaries, accelerating JADC2. It makes information the central organizing feature for requirements creation, acquisition, and planning and operations across the force generation lifecycle—from how warfighters are equipped and trained to how they execute in battle.
