Mary Nelson is a leader in Booz Allen’s Analytics business. An experienced solutions architect, she works with government decision makers to integrate artificial intelligence, quantum computing and cryptography, and next-gen wireless to support complex warfighting and intelligence missions. She is an intelligence officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve and is stationed at the Pentagon as a key member of the N2 N6 Information Warfare team.
Before joining Booz Allen, Mary was a senior technical advisor to the Intelligence Community Chief Information Officer and Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence & Security, helped modernize the defense and intelligence community information enterprises, and established the strategic operations center for a national cyber joint task force. Previously, she was a Navy data systems technician and search-and-rescue swimmer.
Mary is a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Defense Acquisition University Alumni Association, the Federal Acquisition Contracting Corps, and the Girl Scouts of America.
She holds an M.S. in management information systems security and a B.S. in computer science from Colorado Technical University. In addition, she is a graduate of the FBI Academy’s Executive Leadership Program.
