JD Dulny is a strategic innovation leader at Booz Allen. A Ph.D. physicist, JD serves as the firmwide lead for quantum information sciences and as an executive leader within the firm’s artificial intelligence business. He joined Booz Allen in 2014.
JD and the quantum team study cutting-edge quantum computing, communication, and sensing technologies. The quantum team puts these critical new technologies in the context of our clients’ missions, providing insight into how they can be applied to address frontier problems in optimization, machine learning, information security, and beyond. The team has become one of the largest groups in the field worldwide, contributing to the scientific community by authoring key publications while also providing thought leadership for client missions.
JD also has a passion for artificial intelligence and machine learning. As a computational physicist by training, he and the team support Booz Allen’s clients with design and implementation of advanced analytics and state-of-the-art research to suit mission needs.
JD earned his Ph.D. in computational physics from Penn State University, where he focused on large-scale Monte Carlo studies of complex surface phenomena. He holds a B.S. in physics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
