John Pisano leads Booz Allen’s Digital Cloud Solutions capability, which delivers infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), container as a server (CaaS), hybrid/multicloud, and cloud migration offerings. With more than 22 years of experience working across the full lifecycle of IT systems, John helps organizations rapidly adopt new technologies and determines how to best apply them to address client mission requirements.
As one of our prominent cloud technology experts, John leads complex cloud modernization efforts across defense, civil, and commercial organizations—including developing application migration and plans, cloud architecture and design, security engineering, and monitoring cloud administration practices. His team maintains Booz Allen’s knowledge base of cloud design patterns and tools used across client engagements.
Prior to joining Booz Allen, John was director of information security and enterprise infrastructure for eLynx, Ltd. During his time there, he designed, fielded, and was responsible for the 24x7 operations of the system architecture that hosted one of the first electronic document delivery services with signature capability in the mortgage industry.
John has 24 years of military service and is an active member of the United States Army Reserve. He is currently the Command Sergeant Major of the 478th Engineer Battalion (BN), headquartered in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky. John serves as the principal advisor to the BN commander and members of the staff on all enlisted soldier issues to include personnel, training, and readiness posture. He is also a member of The Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.
John holds a degree in information technology/information security specialization from Capella University, along with certifications from the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2), EC-Council, and the International Consortium for Agile.
