Joachim Roski has more than 20 years of experience delivering solutions in care transformation, healthcare quality and safety improvement, healthcare business and outcome analytics, and population health improvement. He uses artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science to support better decision making and improvement in healthcare management and patient outcomes. His clients include the Military Health System, the Veteran’s Health Administration, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and the Office of the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology.
Prior to joining Booz Allen, Joachim served as fellow and managing director at the Engelberg Center for Healthcare Reform at Brookings focusing on delivery and payment reform. He also served as vice president for the National Committee for Quality Assurance, overseeing performance measure development and analysis, program evaluation, and health services research.
Earlier in his career, Joachim served as director of quality and performance effectiveness for the integrated healthcare system Allina Health in Minneapolis, Minnesota and as research director for the University of Minnesota’s School of Public Health, Division of Epidemiology.
A well-published national expert, Joachim speaks frequently on how to measure and improve healthcare costs, quality and safety, and outcomes and value. He is certified as a project management professional, professional innovator, and design thinking practitioner.
Joachim holds a Ph.D. in health psychology from the University of Trier, Germany and a master’s in public health from the Division of Epidemiology at the University of Minnesota’s School of Public Health.
