Michael Berger leads Booz Allen’s infrastructure, facilities, and environment work for the Secretary of Defense and other federal clients.
His expertise is in defense installation management, global defense posture, base realignment and closure, sustainable military facilities and operations, energy, joint basing, the economic impacts of Department of Defense facilities, and issues related to real estate and compatible land use.
Before joining Booz Allen in 2003, Michael held positions at Logistics Management Institute, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Defense Conversion Commission, the Congressional Budget Office, and the Naval Air Systems Command where he was a presidential management intern. His prior experience includes work related to the acquisition of major weapon systems, a variety of defense acquisition issues, the health of the defense industrial base, and the size and budget of the entire U.S. Navy.
Michael earned a master’s in public policy from the Goldman School of Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.A. in political science from the University of California, San Diego.
